Mr. May has also been instrumental in Implementing Mount Vernon's new Tree Ordinance and its subsequent recertification as a Tree City USA.
On April 30th, 2021, a Native Swamp White Oak wAS planted in Hartley Park in Mount Vernon, thanks to a donation from Bronx River Sound Shore Audubon.
